Located in Florida’s capital city, IHOP Tallahassee is an International House of Prayer with a vision to unite and establish individuals in intimacy with Christ through 24/7 prayer and worship, modeled after the Tabernacle of David.
IHOP Tallahassee is committed to prayer, worship, the Word, fasting, healing, prophecy, and the Great Commission. We believe that evangelism is most effective through night and day prayer as we pour out our lives before Jesus. Luke 18:1-7 teaches that night and day prayer is vital if a city is to witness the fullness of revival. It is for this reason that the Prayer Room, in essence, is the center of all that goes on at IHOP Tallahassee.
We want to equip and train up a generation who will offer up themselves to a lifestyle of prayer, worship, and fasting while boldly proclaiming the Word of God in the midst of persecution, and contending for God to break in with revival. Prayer is the only thing that will change the spiritual atmosphere over Tallahassee, the Southeast Region, the Nation, and turn the nations of the World to the revelation of Jesus Christ.
Jesus said the harvest is plentiful, therefore His disciples should pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers. When our hearts deeply experience the love of God in the place of worship and intercession, we are strengthened and empowered to give ourselves to the labor of the work of the Kingdom with greater diligence, authority, and power.
In this hour, the Holy Spirit is orchestrating a global prayer movement far eclipsing any other time in history, resulting in an unprecedented harvest of souls and fulfilling the Great Commission. Historically, prayer has always fueled the preaching of the word of God to fulfill the Great Commission. In cities throughout the earth it will become common to hear of “intercessory worship” ministries that continue non-stop 24 hours a day.
This global prayer movement will operate in the spirit of the Tabernacle of David. King David organized 4,000 musicians and 288 singers to minister to God in shifts that continued 24 hours a day. He financially released them to worship as their full-time occupation.
24/7 prayer and worship will change the spiritual climate of the city, thus opening the heavens for more anointed and effective evangelism to the lost and unity in the Church. We believe that the Holy Spirit is calling us to worship God with abandonment and expectation. As we do this 24/7, we will invite the transforming and victorious power of God’s presence into our community.
